Interior Designer
Primary Job Functions
Develop interior designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, tailored to the client’s needs and preferences.
Calculate material specifications and costs for construction, ensuring the project stays within budget.
Select and source design elements such as furnishings, materials, and accessories to create cohesive, purposeful spaces.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and consultants.
Prepare sketches, mood boards, and documentation for client presentations, translating ideas into tangible concepts.
Manage and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly execution.
Sell design services to new clients, showcasing the value and expertise of Casamia.
Visit job sites to evaluate space availability, design needs, and project feasibility.
Attend client meetings to gain a deep understanding of their preferences and style.
Create initial design concepts, including color themes, layouts, and furniture ideas, aligning with client requirements and space constraints.
Obtain client approval before producing detailed CAD designs and instructions for project teams.
Hire and coordinate contractors (e.g., carpenters, painters, plumbers, electricians) to implement the design vision.
Oversee procurement of materials and furnishings needed for project completion.
Keep clients and all project stakeholders updated on progress, arranging regular site visits as needed.
Ensure projects are completed within the agreed budget and timeline while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in design software, including Chief Architect, AutoCAD, Houzz Pro, Google Suite, and Monday.com.
Ability to read and produce detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
Proven experience in managing multiple design projects from start to finish.
Exceptional creativity, artistic ability, and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients and teams.
Ability to source materials, negotiate with vendors, and stay up-to-date with market rates and trends.
Leadership and project management skills to oversee design teams and contractors.
Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
A keen understanding of current interior design trends, materials, and finishes.
Ability to thrive under deadlines, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and precision.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience as an Interior Designer, ideally within luxury residential or high-end construction environments.
A portfolio showcasing a range of completed projects, demonstrating your design style and attention to detail.
